Virginia. House muses.

Virgina is a tribute to Virginia Woolf, the inspiring woman, the British writer of the main figures of Anglo-Saxon modernism and the international feminism of the twentieth century.

Woolf was also a pioneer in the reflection on the condition of women, female identity and women's relationships with art and literature.

This is the book is indispensable reading, not only for girls or women. "Intellectual freedom depends on material things," writes Woolf. "Poetry depends on intellectual freedom, and women have always been poor, not for 200 years, but since the beginning of time." A room of one is an extraordinary little book, beautifully written and poetic. lectures on women and fiction that Woolf gave at Cambridge in 1928, and is quite different from the other great feminist polemics, or indeed anything else.

This painting is inspired by the reading of "A Room of One's Own", I can say that when reading it and painting it I felt the weight, the burden and the responsibility to continue with the legacy that great women, like her, left us to open our way
